The latest (seemingly) blonde bombshell on the scene has to be Lady Gaga. She is like the new exotic parrot in the cage of pigeons. Daring is what she does. Is she a feminist or hermaphrodite or just making the best use she can of her fame. She dresses men in fish net stockings. 

In some instances in her music videos she is Gerber’s (Men Act, Women Appear) exact example. She allows the men in her music videos to survey her, but also make also allows the audience that watches her become surveyors. (Gerber 1972:46) In some music videos like Bad Romance she allows herself to seem subservient to the man. Making her seem like she obeys his wishes as patriarchy would like to preach. 

In her music video Poker Face and as you can see in the screen shot, you almost see a re-enactment of something similar to the old European paintings we know so well. She looks us in a beautiful dress, where her ‘lover’ seems to have her attention but she is actually looking at the audience.

The first time I saw the Bad Romance music video, I instantly though that she is a perfect example of Critical studies, because so many theories can be applied to her. I think that Lady Gaga is more than just a dumb blonde...

BLONDE JOKE OF THE DAY

A  Russian, an American, and a Blonde were talking one day.   The  Russian said, 'We were the first in space!'   

  The  American said, 'We were the first on the moon!'   
 The  Blonde said, 'So what? We're going to be the first on the sun!'   The Russian and the American looked at each other and shook their  heads.   'You  can't land on the sun, you idiot! You'll burn up!' said the Russian.   
 To  which the Blonde replied, 'We're not stupid, you know. We're going at  night!'
